Who is this class suitable for?

Beginners, improvers and intermediate makers

 

What will I make?

 A ring, pendant or earrings of natural seaglass set in fine and sterling silver.

 

What will I learn?

We will start by discussing which shapes and forms of sea glass are most suitable for bezel setting. You will learn to hand form a bezel for the seaglass in fine silver. You'll file and flatten the base and find out how to solder it to a base plate and then use a fine saw to cut out your design. You'll learn how to file, emery and perfect your design and to solder on the fittings to create a pendant, ring or earrings. Finally you polish and finish your pendant to a high shine to show off the beauty of the sea glass.

 

What is included?

All tools, equipment and materials are provided.  Enough silver is provide to make a seaglass pendant. If you would like to make more than one piece silver is available to buy on the day. There will be plenty of seaglass pieces to choose from but you are welcome to bring your own to use.

If for any reason the class doesn't run you will receive a full refund.

 

If you cancel your booking one month or more before the class begins you will receive a 50% refund.
